Both Democrats and Republicans agree, the 2012 Presidential election is probably the most important election of our lifetime. Far beyond a choice between two men, or between leadership styles, we’re looking at a choice of direction for our country.

Once again the people have succeeded where government has failed, this time in Columbia, Mo. where residents sent a message to the Westboro Baptist Church that they’re not wanted!
On Saturday, Westboro’s planned protest was effectively halted, when thousands of supporters gathered to block the Church’s efforts to disrupt the funeral of 21-year-old Army Specialist Sterling Wyatt.

I didn’t write about the shooting in Colorado yesterday. It was a purposeful move on my part. I didn’t think it was a good fit for the style of writing typically seen on this site, which is humor and/or satire.
But, when I see the calculated effort by the media to mix reporting and the call for increased gun control, I feel drawn to express my opinion, especially, when the mix of reporting and opinion takes part at the onset of the incident.
"Have you eaten at White Castle recently? Or caught a movie at Regal Cinemas?"
"If so, you may be unwittingly helping finance right-wing attack ads".
She was the only bright spot in an otherwise forgettable campaign by John McCain. She wowed audiences leading up to her electrifying speech at the 2008 Republican convention. And, she has no role this go-around?
At least that’s what being reported by Slate News (video below). No necessarily mainstream, but reputable none the less.
