Why Don't We Get Drunk And Screw?

It’s January 3rd and all is well.  The “Fiscal Cliff” has been averted, saving the middle class from certain doom. Thank God for President Obama and his perseverance over those pesky Republicans – what’s left of them!

And, if you believe that, I’ve got a bridge in New York to sell you!

Forget the fact that everyone’s taxes just went up (including the middle class) with the expiration of the payroll tax reduction.

And, let’s not speak of the known and yet to be discovered taxes embedded in the Affordable Care Act. Has anyone actually read the bill yet?

What President Obama and his cronies on the left have done with the “The American Taxpayer Relief Act of 2012” is fundamentally change the complexion of the so called middle class into something more to their liking.

The single taxpayer levels never mattered. What really mattered were the limits on married couples, including our friends LBGT community considering their recent court victories.

Married couples are only provided an additional $50K before the “rich folks” rates kick in…$400K vs $450K!

$800K for married couples seems a bit more equitable, wouldn’t you agree?

Toss in the .9% Medicare surcharge on income over $200K and there are some real decisions to be made.

And, let’s not forget those whose income is derived from investments (married retirees?). That opens a whole new can of worms.

Truth be told, it’s now beneficial to remain single than to marry for those looking to pay their fair share! The “Marriage Penalty” has existed for years, but never to this extent!

“But, $450K is a lot of money, even for a couple. It’s really not a big deal!”

True, it’s a lot of money in the red states between the coasts, but that’s not who they’re targeting. Trust me when I say $450K is far from rich in Los Angeles, New York, Boston, Washington DC, etc., Democratic strongholds that must be held for them to remain in power.

No need to worry about the poor…”free stuff” guarantees their vote, wherever they reside. And, no need to worry about the truly rich…they will never cross over to the left.

But, the majority…the middle class (now defined below $400K/$450K) can and must be transformed over time.

Forget the old “American Dream”…marriage, kids, and a house with a white picket fence. That no longer makes financial sense.

Now its sex when you want it – we’ll even give you free contraception to guard against mistakes (Thank You Sandra Fluke)!

It’s like High School all over again…but now you don’t have to pay for the rubber!

But, don’t forget to propagate when you’re ready…just don’t marry after doing so or it’ll cost you!

Everyone knows children born out of marriage do so well in life…better stated, they tend to vote Democrat, or take up shelter in Zuccotti Park…either is acceptable to those on the Left.

Not acceptable to the Church, but the Church matters not in this case. In fact, the Church is becoming less and less relevant as we move towards the secularist society preferred by the Left.

I think we’ve all learned by now that references to faith and morality only matter when campaigning for office, or when offering words of comfort to victims of a tragedy such as the recent occurrence in Newtown CT (inflicted by a sick individual from a broken home).

No, this was never about fairness. It was always about insuring the dominance of the Left for years to come.

Yep, “Change” is coming. Note: I left out the “Hope” because that’s non-existent unless we act in 2014 by replacing so-called Republicans with true conservatives.

Call them what you want…the Tea Party, Patriots, Wolverines, etc., as long as they hold true to conservative principles of small government, a strong defense, and fiscal conservancy!

If we don’t act now, then all will be lost and anything goes. Forget removing the word “God” from the “Pledge of Allegiance”…the Left may move to re-write it all together!

Considering today’s political climate (and its potential future), perhaps the words of the great patriot Jimmy Buffett would be more fitting:

“I really do appreciate the fact you're sitting here. Your voice sounds so wonderful, but your face don't look so clear. So, barmaid bring a pitcher, and another round of brew. Honey, why don't we get drunk and screw?”
